Nomadic life of four nomads in "MUNICH"

At last we four nomads explored ourselves in the Beer Capital of the World Munich....!! We four were invited by an Indian Women. Definitely i wish to share something about her. This journey was possible only because of one person who decided to accommodate us knowing the struggle of a volunteer in a completely new country. Her story can be a perfect model of cross cultural love between an Indian and a German as its been 10 years that she is settled in Munich with her husband. Crossing all barriers of language, food, culture, friends, family, surroundings etc., we could see their love for each other in the air.  I just wondered that love always doing wonders in this world...!!

With lot of struggle only we booked the ticket to Munich. The day came to start from here to Munich. We four reached Bensheim Banhof that time only we knows that that train is not running today. We feel so bad and sad that time. We felt that all our efforts gonna waste. Oh that time my Co-Volunteer's host father told that he will drop us to Darmstadt. So we can catch up other train. Thank God....!! All people surrounded us kindhearted. Somehow we started our weekend to Munich on 15.06.2017.

Started our Journey with lot of excitement...

We got to spend two days in the city.  We had so much of fun together while running around the beautiful city.  Here i am sharing my thrilling experiences and views about Munich through my eyes. I explore the city and share my impression about this beautiful Bavarian City with you ...

I only knew a few things about the Munich City before i am going there. Oktoberfest is there, Hitler had his beer hall putsch there, and it has a famous and overrated clock.

Munich has a lot of beauty in it, and roaming around the city was a nice change from the regular working days. In the morning itself we started to wander around Munich city finally we reached one destiny... When i entered into a salad bowl i realized that I am walking into not just another Museum but inside the portals of an Institution. Yes...That is BMW Museum !! I always have a great love on the beauty and richness of BMW cars. While step into the museum my friend asked me what is the full abbreviation for BMW..??? i really struggled to answer it..., i felt so guilty that i have love on it but i don't know at least its abbreviation.  - Thanks to Abhilash for sharing about this. Now i know what is BMW - " Bavarian Motor Works".  The luxurious Motor brand...!! The museum takes me into a world of Cars, Bikes and Planes. And we four get a chance to take photos with this luxurious and prided vehicles. Myself and Shilpa engaged with taking a beautiful video about this cars...!!!Successfully finished our video too...

It takes my Breath away....!😍

We four nomads with our two other friends check in to the Olympia Park. It is one of the most renowned and successful event venues world wide like for sports and musics. The unique tent architecture of the building and the Olympic towers were adding more beauty to this park.

When we started to climb up...that beats everything. Everything started to fly...even i feel that i am  also flying. The force wind tried to catch our shawls, dresses and even us. But it sounds good. Nowhere i am near to the sky over the Munich than here with its overall elevation of 291,28 meters. This is Olympia Tower, it is not only the city's highest building but also one of the world wide best known attraction. I can see the view of platform on an altitude of 190 meters above ground provided the widest and most spectacular panoramic view of Munich and beyond it borders. While seeing the tower my eyes also slipped over another fabulous thing. One of the tower's biggest attraction is the revolving restaurant in a height of 181 meters completing one turn in 53 minutes and letting the guest enjoy the 360 degree view.

The heart of Munich is Marienplatz

Walking around Marienplatz i was fascinated by the Gothic and Baroque architecture of buildings that fill the city. It was five minutes to afternoon and everyone is crowded infront of the towering larger than life Neues Rathas or The New Town Hall  in Marienplatz waiting in bated breath. As the clock struck at 5 PM,  43 bells began to chime as 32 life sized puppets started to dance and perform for us. This was my first introduction to Marienplatz as i watched this it was a 15 minutes feast to the viewers. Everyday the clock chimes and figurines twirl on double-decker levels telling the famous love story from Munich's past. Rathaus Glockenspiel performs at 11 am and during the summer 12pm and 5pm.The first story depicts a wedding of Duke Wihelm with Renate of Lorraine and there is a charming duel fought between the knights of Bavaria and Lothringen.  Of course the Bavarian Knight was the winner. I also saw a 16th century dance performed by these puppets called " COOPERS DANCE" and the spectacle finally ended with rooster singing off.

All these story behind this clock i heard from a Unknown German Man who also part of the crowd. In this moment i am thanking him for sharing this beautiful story.

How the people doing these type of stunning performances!!?
In the pleasant morning we walked through English Garthen. It was very beautiful...!! I stumbled across  some surfers. Now, apparently these guys are quite well known, but i had no idea they existed. it was an amazing thing to see. a bunch of surfers riding these waves of a river as it barreled out from under a bridge. My smart came in handy and i was able to capture this stunning performance by the surfers. I mesmerized this view and admired the surfers for their stunning performances in the water.

Beer Capital....???

Beer....Beer...Everywhere!!!!

The heart of Munich lies in its markets and beer gardens. The first thing i heard when i came to Munich was about the largest beer garden in the city. The beer garden is an icon of Munich.  There are several beer garden in Munich but we explored ourselves in two famous beer garden one is English Beer Garden, to add more beauty to this there is Chinesischer Turm (China Tower) with  fabulous architecture. And another one is Hofbrauhaus. Hofbrauhaus is the most tourist friendly beer garden. When we entered into that gardens i just amazed of that vision in this summer they just simply sat under the shade of the chestnut trees, put out an en number of benches and created an atmosphere to drink beer. yahhh..exclusively for Beer Drinking...Really i shocked too!! Beer is a religion here. I think that Just an "OKTOBERFEST" is not enough for people to celebrate beer.

The Land of Palace

The largest city palace in Germany with its 120 rooms and over 10 country yards does not overwhelmed me. But the Nymphenburg Palace in my opinion is meant for picture post cards. The palace was apparently a gift by the King - Ferdinand to his Queen Henrietta after she gave birth to his son. It is stands for his love on her...!! We came across the marvelous scene that there are lot of resident swans in the small river of stunning Nymphenburg Palace. We four spend a lot of time with that white swans by feeding them and taking snaps. When we got a call from our German friend we rushed to wander around the other parts of Nymphenburg. But i kept my heart near to the swan....its so beautiful. With our tight schedule we only can spend 2 hours there. which was enough to cover most of the parts of Nymphenburg.

Meeting with God....!!

I have to say a big thanks to my Co-volunteers and Indian German Love. As Germany is Christian Country i struggled to find out a Hindu Temple, for the past 2 months i prayed in the church because i believed that all God is one, but its really new for me but i learned to adjust. But at last my friends made me happy... , because after a long time they shown my God to me. But i didn't expect this because while we are walking to that temple in the evening One Srilankan lady told that the temple will close within in 10 minutes please rush up. Oh God i never forget this day because all my three friends without seeing religion  who belongs to christian religion they also run with me to the Vinayagar Temple. Here i can see the ultimate motto of India Unity in Diversity.!! Finally we reached the destiny !! its time for praying.

Rushing to Deutsches Museum

Last day in Munich we wish to see the Deutsches Museum except Evelin. ..., but we don't have enough time to spend in the museum because our train to Bensheim at 3 pm, so our German friend and his wife said that may be we can rush up to that but you should not spend your time to take photos then only you could see at least 3 floors.  We agreed that and we three are started to run towards Museum...!! It is a fantastic see and touch science Museum. The placards are in German and English, and the rooms cover in incredible depth such diverse subjects as industrial, machinery, the digging of tunnel, astronautics, computers and microelectronics, textiles, mining and electricity. We wondered that there is a hanger filled with historic aircraft, ships and a collection of venerable cars. In this tight schedule also we didn't forget to take photos....😄 As we rushing we cannot spend there more....but we enjoyed our time in Deutsches Museum very well.

The days in Munich has ended by having a Snickers and Chocolate Ice cream...😘😋 on 18.06.2017.

A snap with the perfect couples (Lillykutty & Johannes Hennig)
A lot of fun and fight together, en number of learning, the blasting days, Indian food thanks to Indian & German Love for inviting us and feast us with food & Views. And Munich also had a special place in my heart because this city only saved my life by giving Indian Tea bag.

I felt that, Munich is a melting pot of culture and world class architecture, the City of Munich is a pillar of German History, going back to its roots as a cornerstone of Royal Heritage, as well as a champion of modern engineering and arts. I had already fallen in love with Germany after seeing the natural beauty...and now Munich just overwhelmed me!!

Time sure flies....I am so glad that we are still enjoying our days in Deutschland. I hope we four can travel to as many places as possible with in this shorter period.....Journey will Continue....!!!
